Support staff are a crucial element as part of a successful school.  We work in partnership with a number of apprenticeship providers to offer a wide range of technical apprenticeships, designed to upskill existing members of our support staff team.

The apprenticeships on offer range from 12 to 18 months in duration and covers all levels of support staff, from someone at the start of their career, to someone aspiring to leadership.  They are available as distance learning and are supported by in-house coaches.

We offer a number of apprenticeships through our trust.

Apprenticeships combine work with practical, on and off-the-job training and study.

An apprentice is employed, working alongside a mentor to gain the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to be fully competent in their chosen occupation.

Anyone can become an apprentice at any age.

Apprenticeships:

• Can be used to retrain and upskill 
• Cover a wide variety of roles in schools, academies and colleges – not just teaching
• Mean staff can gain skills in mentoring and management 
• Create a learning culture to build knowledge, competence and skills
